Day Two

Day two of U.S. Nationals concluded today with a 10/15k freestyle race. Conditions were decent and temperatures remained in the 20’s. The course was technically tough with long grinding uphills and some quick turns.br /br /My effort today was good enough to put me in the top-10. I felt like I skied strong and consistent the entire way. I learned some good things from this race and I am ready to get after it in the 20k classic race on Wednesday.br /br /a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_bfd1dFDmRWA/S0N_a1SaI7I/AAAAAAAAAiE/PaLLzf2puDA/s1600-h/XCski27.45525.original.standalone.prod_affiliate.7.JPG”img style=”margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 216px;” src=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_bfd1dFDmRWA/S0N_a1SaI7I/AAAAAAAAAiE/PaLLzf2puDA/s320/XCski27.45525.original.standalone.prod_affiliate.7.JPG” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423318475241825202″ border=”0″ //abr /br /Results:br /br /span style=”font-style: italic;”span style=”font-weight: bold;”Men:br //span/span1) Kris Freeman, U.S. Ski Team, 37:17.6;br /2) Tad Elliott, CXC Team Vertical, 37:42.1;br /3) James Southam, APU, 38:15.2;br /4) Matt Liebsch, CXC Team Vertical, 38:21.1;br /5) Noah Hoffman, U.S. Ski Team, 38:37.7;br /6) Lars Flora, APU, 38:52.1;br /7) Leif Zimmerman, Bridger Ski Foundation, 38:55.2;br /8) Chris Cook, Steinbock Racing, 39:04.0;br /9) Brian Gregg, CXC Team Vertical, 39:06.5;br /10) Simi Hamilton, Sun Valley, 39:22.3br /br /span style=”font-style: italic;”span style=”font-weight: bold;”Women:br //span/span1) Kikkan Randall, U.S. Ski Team, 28:40.1;br /2) Caitlin Compton, Go!
