We had to take a break after our three-week Olympic sprint, but we’re back to catch up on a couple of weeks of World Cup racing.

Devon and Nat take a quick run-through of events in Sweden, Finland and Norway. We’ll be back after the marathons at Holmenkollen.

Reach us at devon[at]fasterskier.com and nat[at]fasterskier.com.

A reminder: This is a homegrown podcast done by two guys working long hours and late nights. We also paid real money to be in Italy for the Olympics. If you can, support the show and FasterSkier’s ongoing coverage with a voluntary membership.

We’ll be back after that race tomorrow. Reach us at devon[at]fasterskier.com and nat[at]fasterskier.com. We’re really grateful for all the support during the Olympics — thanks for notes and encouragement. And even the anti-eating-on-the-podcast messages.

America’s first man to win an Olympic medal in cross-country skiing, Ben Ogden, joins the show for a cheese-tasting and a description of his past 72 hours. He covers everything from the doping test to the phone deluged with texts to Ogden dream sponsors — he only wants old cars, not new cars. And Ogden also shares his lifelong dream to meet Bernie Sanders.

The one Jessie Diggins was waiting for: Nat and Devon were both on hand for the Olympic 10-kilometer freestyle and have this recap. It gets pretty heated! But in a good way.

We’ll be back tomorrow after the showdown between Johannes Klaebo and Einar Hedegart in the men’s race. Nat wrote a profile of Klaebo-killer Hedegart — the biggest threat to what could otherwise be a golden sweep of the Olympics by the cross-country skiing king.

The bad news? Devon is indisposed and isn’t here for the Olympic preview podcast. As a consolation: We have a great guest in Philip Gadd, a sports reporter with the Swedish tabloid Expressen.

The Devon Kershaw Show: Three continents, a 135-mile ski session, and a World Cup 13th. Meet Rosie Fordham.

Rosie Fordham grew up in Sydney and has taken perhaps one of the most unconventional routes to a professional cross-country skiing career. She takes us on a tour of her epic Alaska training sessions and her sans-plumbing Fairbanks cabin.

The Devon Kershaw Show: Zak Ketterson moved to Norway. Now he’s having a breakout season.

After growing up in the Twin Cities, Zak Ketterson embarked on an experiment this past year, moving to Oslo and training with a Norwegian team. The decision paid off with a top-10 on the World Cup. With Devon focused on family during the Christmas season, Nat caught up with Zak to hear about training, racing and how he covers his financial obligations as a non-U.S. Ski Team athlete.

Speaking of financial obligations: We’re really trying to pump up our fundraising with just over one month before Nat heads to the Olympics — an event we’re really looking forward to but one that also comes with significant expense. You can become a voluntary member at here. If you’re already a member, thank you.

We’ll be back soon. Reach us at devon[at]fasterskier.com and nat[at]fasterskier.com. Thanks for listening.
