WHY GEAR WEST? Our philosophy – fit matters. Gear West is based in Long Lake, Minnesota. We are the largest retailer of Nordic ski equipment in North America. Our size allows us “first pick” from the warehouses and factories of the manufacturers we work with, resulting not only a large inventory — but a quality selection of
hand-picked skis. We take pride in the fact that the skis we outfit our customers with are precisely fit for specific conditions as well as the person’s skiing ability and budget.

Jenny & Michael have 20 + years of combined ski fitting experience. Michael has personally selected all of the skis for Gear West’s current inventory. Prior to Gear West, Jenny was the Salomon Nordic Race Service & Community Marketing Manager where she worked with the S/Lab team to select skis for Salomon athletes.
