    Photo Galleries: U.S. Champs 10/15 k Freestyle

    HOUGTON, Mich. — The first day of racing at the 2015 U.S. Cross Country Championships is over after a flurry of exciting action in the 10/15 k freestyle intervals starts. In the men’s 15 k Kyle Bratrud (NMU) bested Kris Freeman (Freebird) by 50 seconds to take his first national championship, while Caitlin Gregg (Team Gregg/Madshus) held off a strong APU women’s team in the women’s 10 k to gain yet another championship title.

    MIDWAY, Utah — More than 400 racers zipped around the 1.3 k classic course at Soldier Hollow on Monday, each trying to advance to the sprint heats later that afternoon. Since the qualifier included everybody, we did our best to capture most of the racers in action during the interval start.
